Breathing new life into B.C.’s summer concert lineup, West Vancouver’s most iconic outdoor music festival is set to transform Ambleside Park by introducing this year’s newly unveiled lineup.
Today, GSL Group announced the return of its 10th Ambleside Music Festival, West Vancouver’s most anticipated outdoor music series. Taking place on August 19th and August 20th, Ambleside
Music Festival will once again welcome music lovers to Ambleside Park for a summer party with a weekend packed with incredible food, engaging activations, and live music from a mix of local talent and internationally celebrated artists, including rock n’ roll juggernaut headliners Weezer and Third Eye Blind.
Boasting an impressive roster of talent, this year’s festival promises a diverse lineup of indie rock royalty. Hot off the heels of their seventh studio album Dandelion, Vancouver-natives Said the Whale will bring their authentic West Coast tunes to Ambleside. Other acts include Canadian guitarist Bahamas and Juno award-winning hip-hop collective Bran Van 3000, with more bands to be announced over the coming weeks. Alongside Billboard Award winners Third Eye Blind, industry veterans Weezer will be headlining the festival. Whether attendees are longtime fans of their infamous Blue Album or their latest multi-album music project, SZNZ, fans won’t be disappointed.
Ramping up the excitement this year alongside official media sponsor, SONiC radio, concert-goers can also expect great local retailers, live music, and impressive food & beverage options from local food trucks, craft beer, wine tastings, and more, including community activations, focused on giving back to the West Vancouver neighbourhood that has embraced the festival over the years. Last year, over $500,000 in tickets were donated to front-line healthcare workers, and over the coming weeks, GSL Group is looking forward to sharing more details on how they intend to give back this year.
“GSL Group has been promoting music events throughout B.C. since 1999 and created and launched our inaugural outdoor concert at Ambleside in 2009. Over time, this flourished from a summer concert series to what is now a festival format.” shares GSL Group President & CEO Graham Lee. “We continue to evolve the vision we set out for Ambleside Music Festival years ago, and being from West Vancouver myself, it’s great to see how this festival brings the community together, and I am grateful for the years of support that the community has shown us as we’ve
brought some of the world’s top talent here – Neil Young, The Offspring, Ed Sheeran and Kenny Chesney, and Sheryl Crow, to name a few.”
